After seeding our entire front yard (which has been a giant dirt desert since we ripped out a bunch of bushes that have seen better days and grading the yard properly away from the house) one of our sprinkler zones decided to stop working. I figured that there was an issue with the valve, but didn’t have time to diagnose/fix the problem myself. I called around to a bunch of places (of course early May is one of the busiest times of year) and many were telling me that it would be at least 2 weeks before they could get out to us. This timeline was a big concern for me because I wouldn’t be able to properly hand water the new seed due to my schedule. They very clearly empathized with my situation, communicated with me well, and got the problem fixed in 45 minutes. Luis was recommended by a friend who is a landscaper and I could not be happier with his expert service. And the price was lower than other quotes I got.

Luis repaired my existing 5 zone irrigation system. It is wonderful to see all the sprinkler heads working! He also expanded it with two new heads and a couple of faucets and fixed a valve that had been cracked by freezing due to an improper shutdown. He really knows his stuff and made several excellent suggestions regarding how to lay out the new sprinkler heads and faucets and about what parts to use.

My irrigation system needed a lot of work. We bought a house with a 35 year old irrigation system that had not been run in 12 years. And, when Verizon buried their FIOS cable in my yard they cut the irrigation pipes at several places. I also did some damage when digging flower beds. There was a lot to repair! Luis was very methodical, and identified the problems and leaks one by one and then fixed them. I was amazed how he knew what was underground, as if he had X-ray vision. I was also amazed how he found routes for the new pipes when my property is full of ledge and rocks.

I was concerned that digging would damage the plants in my flower beds. I’ll have to see what comes up, but I really appreciated that Luis was careful and respectful of my plantings. I bought a new Rachio sprinkler controller which lets me run the sprinklers from a phone app or computer and by voice control. Luis had no trouble hooking into my hi-tech gear.

Luis also did an excellent job of covering over the spots where he was digging. And cleaned up and left everything looking great. I would enthusiastically recommend Luis to anyone who needs irrigation service.
